The second of the Cement Sector Meetings in 2020 organized by Cement, Glass, Ceramic and Soil Products Exporters' Association (Turkish Cement) was held online on the 20th of October due to the Covid-19 outbreak. 60 representatives of “Turkish Cement” member companies and officials from the Ministry of Trade attended the meeting.

Turkish Cement Sector Meeting began with the opening speech made by Deputy Chairman of the Board Feyyaz Ünal and he made a presentation analyzing the cement industry in Turkey and the world. Then, Ministry of Trade officials gave information about recent developments in the sector. The meeting continued with the presentation of "Economic Developments in the Construction Sector and Expectations for the Year 2021" by economy consultant Dr. Can Fuat Gürlesel. Additionally, İstanbul Bilgi University Faculty Member Dr. Pınar Artıran made a speech on “Sustainability in International Trade, EU Green Deal and Its Impact on Turkey’s Export: Challenges and Opportunities”.
