The Cement Sector Meeting which was the first sector meeting of 2022, was held on February 16 in Istanbul, with the participation of 40 leading representatives of the sector.

Arda Özkır, Vice President of Cement, Glass, Ceramics and Soil Products Exporters Association, made the opening speech of the meeting giving a brief information about the sector, which ranks 2nd in the world in cement exports and operates in the world under the brand "Turkish Cement". The success of the cement sector, which provides services in the fields of packaged and bulk white/gray cement and clinker around the world was evaluated. The information was given about export statistics of 2021-22 and potential markets. In the presentation, besides the strong and competitive aspects of Turkey in export, participants were informed about the threats and opportunities that may be encountered during exports.

After the presentation of Arda Özkır, Selim Oktar, the founder of StrategyCo, made a presentation on “Cement Sector Communication Strategy and Course of Action”. In the presentation, the results of the Communication and Action Plan Workshop were shared with the sector representatives.  After the presentations, the meeting ended with Q&A session.
